Edition Details
This is a C-print on Fuji Crystal semi-matte paper using archival quality inks. Edition sizes are as follows;
16" x 20" - 50 editions at $250.00 each.
24" x 30" - 20 editions at $900.00 each.
30" x 40" - 2 editions at $2000.00 each.
All images come with a numbered certificate of authenticiy signed by the artist. Please note that sizes quoted are for the size of the paper, not the image. We do not alter the aspect ratio or edit the artist's original image. All images have a minimum .5 inch white border.
Artist Statement
With these works, Melissa explores the boundaries of her images and challenges the traditional presentation of the photograph. Inspired by the turning of our planet and the cycle of life upon it, Melissa has captured an elegance in throwing tradition aside. The viewer will find these swirling images of color and texture rich in complexity and somewhat hypnotic in their depth.
Melissa Mercier is a fine-art photographer based in Vancouver, B.C. After moving from her native Quebec to Toronto, Melissa studied photography at Vancouver's Langara College and worked under renowned commercial photographer Anthony Redpath.
Often contrasting organic and inanimate subjects, she challenges the viewer to find beauty in the seemingly ordinary and to look deeper into their surrounding world.
Her work has become a favourite of award-winning hotels including the Wynn, Four Points, Sheraton, and the Four Seasons. Her work is also being used by industry leaders such as Phase One Cameras and Capture One Software in their current advertising campaigns.
